    Pros +

    • hotel was absolutely beautiful. the food at the hotel was amazing. the staff was accommodating and polite. access to the town was easy and convenient. room was smaller than your average hotel room, but enough space for exactly what you need.
    • Situated in a very private area, the suites and the views were amazing! They conveniently offer tour packages in their own boutique. Food was deliciously prepared with plenty of choices. Excellent customer service with attention to detail.Perfect getaway!
    • Very nice place! Staff was extremely friendly and nice. The tours like island hopping was well organised. The food at the restaurant was fresh and good. One of the best resorts we have stayed at!

    Cons -

    • poor wifi signal all over the hotel. no staff working after 10pm when needing something after hours with no phones in the room to call. restaurant and bar closed earlier than advertised.
    • Property needs updating on the bathroom. Needs warm water on the sink and some plumbing smell noted once in awhile. Can I suggest a screen on the door, so it can be opened to have the breeze come in.
    • Restaurant was good with a twist on Filipino dishes - would have been nice to have more traditional recipes on the menu. No beach at the property - it is a rocky waterfront so you have to go somewhere else to wade into the ocean.

Staff was excellent, friendly, attentive. Room was nice, comfortable, private patio was nice. Pool was nice. Transportation to town / beaches was easy and convenient. Shops around resort were convenient. View of ocean/mountains was nice. Restaurant was good.

This is my second time staying here. It's just lovely and has such great staff, food and amenities. I would return just to get a massage by Zulia again. The entire property is beautiful and special. Can't wait to go back!

Beautiful property with 3 pools (2 shallow and 1 deep). Very well maintained - constant presence of maintenance staff. Felt safe and secure - there was an evening security staff patrolling the property. Room (pool cottage) was a good size. Wonderful to have access to a tuk tuk to take us to the bridge near town. The staff at all levels and positions were friendly and polite bending over backwards to accommodate requests and needs. Francis, Mary, Jay in the restaurant were particularly lovely to interact with.

No outlet in room by the kettle and coffee maker. Expediting process in kitchen needs improvement (meals came out at different times for our party of 7 and food sometimes cold). Many items on menu not available every night. There is no beach to speak of and lots of rocks - had tp pay to be taken to other beaches about 20 minutes from property. Wish there was a piece of glass on night stands which while beautiful are impractical for storage- our keys and jewelry fell through the wood carving openings. Also wish there was a chair in the room…had to lay on bed if needed a break from the heat.

The view of this location is exceptional!! the staff is so wonderful, helpful, and hospitality.I had a wonderful time with them very accommodating plus they have the waiting lounge while I’m using the facility as I wait for my late flight it was a plus. The meals is also great!

Loved that it was a little away from the main busy part of El Nido. Beautiful property with a delicious restaurant. All the staff was so kind.

Wish we could have stayed longer

Prime location. Walking distance to the town but the resort also provided complimentary tuktuk drop offs and pick ups. Stunning views and excellent hospitality

My only complaint was the wifi. Weak and struggled to connect every time we left and came back on to the property

superb service, kudos to all the staff! jinjer restaurant offered delicious meals, a bit pricey but worth every pesorelaxing atmosphere, will definitely come back

There was a cat at the restaurant that jumped on restaurant table and the staff was not in a position to see it on time to chase her away :-)

We appreciated the free trike ride that ran between Town Square and the Hotel. They were very responsive on WhatsApp (the only way to contact them) most of the time. Other times, they were not. Sometimes they would get your message and act on your request, but not notify you that it had been done. They couldn't approve late checkout so they gave us a place to rest while we waited for a flight. The Filipino breakfast options were tasty, but the western options could use some flavor.

The room was really too small; just enough for a bed and not much else. The mosquitoes were pretty bad. 1,000 pesos (one way) to the airport seems expensive. El Nido has lost its charm . . . just a bunch of overpriced activities that used to be pretty awesome about 10 years ago, but are overly touristy now.

The staff were kind and lovely, the room was comfortable, and the hotel is beautiful!

It’s a bit of a shame that breakfast isn’t included in the price, but aside from that, we really enjoyed our stay.

Property well maintained and the food was great!

When we asked not to clean our room for a day but they still went ahead and got into our rooms. Also, should have clarified that the family room is exclusively for 4 people only. Otherwise, everything is good.

The view is incredible! There are three pools on the property, and 2 have stunning views. The room was good and spacious. The A/C and the fan worked great and kept us comfortable. The room had a little bit of a musty smell when the A/C was off, but it wasn't terrible, and that is to be expected in a humid climate right next to the beach. The room was spotless, and they came to clean it every day if we requested it. Our room was by the pool with a great view of the water and a mountain in the sea. The rooms around the pool had a covered porch area with a table and two chairs. The breakfast and food for lunch and dinner (same menu) were great! For Breakfast, you can order from about nine different options, plus they have some bread and other continental breakfast options. Everything we ate at Cadlao was wonderfully delicious! We also got a delightful welcome drink with our booking. They had tea and coffee with some of the leftover pastries and bread from the morning at 16:00-17:00, and they had a happy hour from 16:30-17:30 each day. The staff were invaluable and accommodating in answering questions and assisting us in finding or obtaining what we needed (information, recommendations, tours, shared shuttle to Nacpan beach, etc). Cadlao Resort offers a free tuk-tuk to a drop-off point near town, and they give you the number to call to ask for a pick-up. It is close enough to walk, but it rained a lot while we were there, so the covered ride to and from the edge of town was beneficial and much appreciated. They help us arrange airport pick up and drop-off through a local company for (4 people) 1,000 pesos each way, 2000 pesos total (a little over $35).

It rained a lot while we were there (on three of the five days), so we were sad that we didn't get to utilize and experience everything while we were there. While the view is extraordinary, the beach really is not swimmable. It is rocky and extremely shallow. I would recommend taking a shared shuttle to Lio Beach or Nacpan Beach for the day. We went to Nacpan Beach and rented two chairs and an umbrella at Sunami Beach Bar and Restaurant behind Nacpan Beach Resort. We had lunch at Sunmai and it was good. There really wasn't anything we didn't like. It is a great place to stay. Additionally, Angkla Beach Club and Resort offers chairs and umbrellas for rent to day guests.
